Crowdsav AED Finder Application

Senator Sanes' Office has been working hard to pinpoint all of the AED's on St. Croix.  To date there are 107 AED's on the island available to help someone who is suffering of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.  Download the application today or view the locations at www.crowdsav.com

CPR Crowdsourcing Platform

Crowdsav is a crowdsourcing platform which complements your CPR training session, and at the same time provides a way for others who have not been trained to experience the action of Hands-only CPR. Our app learns the movements of your hands during Hands-only CPR training, and replicates it later on at your convenience. The app also allows you to refresh your own CPR training using everyday items at home or at work instead of the manikin, eg pillow, sofa, mattress etc.

CPR Performance Tracker

Our platform allows you to store your past CPR performance records as an individual, organization or company. This enables you to track your performance.

Automated External Defibrillator Locator

***Our crowdsourcing platform also allows you to locate the nearest automated external defibrillator (AED). These locations are provided by members of the public like yourself or the relevant authorities.***

AED Crowdsourcing Platform

The locations of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are provided by members of the public just like you who value the access to these devices. Just like others before you, the information of these devices provided by you will assists others after you in their times of distress. We hope that the details of these AED locations will be clear and concise, so that others after you will be able to find them in the shortest time possible.

Download the application on your iPhone or Android Phone today.  The life you save may be your own.

American Legion Post 85 receives life-saving device

St. Croix Avis - Tuesday, March 18, 2014

Tom Eader

"Sen. Sammuel Sanes sponsored legislation related to AEDs that became law  in 2011.  The law requires that each public high school with an inter-scholastic athletic program must maintain an AED on the premises and be accessible during school-related programs, functions or sporting events.  The law also requires at least one AED-trained school staff member be present at such events.  Sanes worked on the legislation after his friend and fraternity brother Allen Woods died from cardiac arrest at David C. Canegata Ballpark.  The ballpark has since been equipped with an AED as part of Will's project.

An application for smart phones called Crowdsav will find the location of the nearest AED in proximity to the phone.  After selecting a location equipped with an AED, the application provides a map to the destination.  The application includes AEDs on St. Croix that were placed by the AED Fund as well as devices that are owned by businesses.  Sanes and employees from his office were instrumental in getting St. Croix's AED locations included on the smart phone application.
